Juventus released statement concerning Cristiano Ronaldo's Rape Allegations

Juventus have released statement to support Cristiano Ronaldo after he was accused of Rape by an American woman identified as Kathryn Mayorga at the Las Vegas Hotel in 2009.

Mayorga, said the five times world player raped nine years ago, the same night Manchester United accepted a bid from Real Madrid.

But the football star debunked the claims as "fake news", saying they want to promote themselves using his name.

Here is what Juventus have to say concerning the Rape allegations;
“Cristiano Ronaldo has shown in recent months his great professionalism and dedication, which is appreciated by everyone at Juventus,” the club Twitter account posted.

“The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago do not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champion.”
Mayorga claims that the incident happened after Ronaldo introduced himself to her in the VIP section of the Las Vegas night club. After allegedly giving her his number, Ms Mayorga says Ronaldo invited her and her friend back to his penthouse at the Palms Place Hotel.

While changing clothes to get into his jacuzzi, Mayorga said that Ronaldo walked in and asked her to perform sexual acts. She then said, despite her refusal, Ronaldo forced himself on her and committed rape.

Her lawyer, Leslie Stovall, said yesterday: “She has decided not to make herself available to the media and stay out of the public because of her emotional state. It is not pleasant for her.”

US Sportswear giant, Nike have expressed worries at the allegations, told AP "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation" even after Ronaldo denied the allegations.
