Drake apologizes after calling Kylie Jenner a 'Side-Piece'... I didn't mean to disrespect my 'Friends'

Rapper Drake is now apologizing for calling Kylie Jenner his 'side-piece' in an unreleased track with Future.

The 'Toosie Slide' rapper took to his Instagram story to apologize to his "friends" who have might just woken up to stories about him claiming to have hooked up with Kylie Jenner before.

In the statement, Drake does not specifically mention the person he is apologizing to, but many believe one of those is Travis Scott. As you know, Scott shares a daughter with Kylie Jenner and has been on and off with her the past few years.

During DJing sessions on Instagram, some old and/or unreleased Drake tracks are being played, pulling some stuff out of the archive that probably would have never seen the light of day otherwise.

On Wednesday night, Drizzy goes live on IG, where he played an unreleased Future collaboration. In this song, Drake names both Kylie and Kendall Jenner, along with their friend, Gigi Hadid who just announced she is pregnant with boyfriend 'One Direction' star Zayn Malik.

“Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they en vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f***in’ Gigis,” Drake raps.

The above lyric has been leaked before, so it wasn’t really a surprise to some fans who’ve heard it in the past. But when the song kept going, more lyrics about Kylie arose, which now sound pretty awkward considering the fact that she’s the mother of Travis Scott’s child.

“Yeah, I’m a hater to society / Real s**t, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,” Drake says, before Future chimes in, rapping that he also has “20 damn Kylies.”

While many fans were just happy to hear some new music, there was some buzz about his Jenner name dropping, which prompted Drake to respond.

On his Instagram story, Drake wrote: “A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound shouldn’t have been played. It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue.

He continued: “Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start off the day.”

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott started dating at Coachella in April of 2017, which is almost exactly 3 years ago.
